Sr. Software Engineer on Organon’s SW Foundations team advancing focus in the area of automation to increase speed, quality, and streamline the business productivity experience. As a member of the SW Foundations team you will also support Business Technology teams adoption of SAFe Agile practices and methods while embedding agile values and mindsets. The goal is to foster more effective, transparent, and cohesive teams, and to enable better outcomes, solutions, and products/services for our business.

This position will be considered hybrid, part homeworking (remote) and part working from our Jersey City or Lansdale PA offices, depending on where you live. We are looking for someone who lives within commuting distance of either of these offices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement a variety of capabilities in ServiceNow and Organon automation tools with a focus on streamlining the decision and development process for new products/services.

  • Develop technical project plans and custom applications based on business requirements and goals/outcomes.

  • Develops and manages a wide range of projects from daily assignments to complex portfolio initiatives.

  • Manage customer expectations and experience in a way that results in high customer satisfaction.

  • Work closely with other technology, product & business areas to ensure workflow solutions are implemented uniformly across platforms.

  • Build upon the Automation Service accelerating delivery of high value business outcomes

  • Develop systems integrations and process automation solutions using application development best practices / standards

  • Effectively advocate agile principles, scrum practices and overall operating model across the organization

  • Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures across teams

  • Builds belonging within the team by helping others and encouraging immediate teammates to work collaboratively.

  • Participate as a member of the Software Foundations Community of Practice (CoP) to share best practices & guide Agile Teams methodology.

  • Support of Organon Agile DevOps toolsets to sustain agile ways-of-working.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors/4 Yr Degree.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge in the ServiceNow Platform.

  • 5+ years’ experience in ServiceNow Development.

  • ITIL Foundations Certification.

  • Knowledge and experience with ITSM, ITBM, ITOM and HRSD and with SOAP, REST, JavaScript, XML, HTML, PowerShell, AngularJS.

  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Agile Frameworks.

  • Can showcase examples of implementing agile techniques in different cultures and environments.

  • Experience running agile projects of varying size and complexity.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally across multiple business units.

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, both written and oral, are required to synthesize key issues, and communicate/persuade constituencies towards specific actions and initiatives.
