The Position

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Portfolio Biosimilars Marketing Strategy and Promotion (US), reporting to the Director of Marketing Strategy while working closely with each of the team brand leads.

The position can either be a hybrid (in-person/remote) based in Plymouth meeting or fully remote as the team has capabilities to support what is ideal for every employee.

This position will be focused on developing and executing a holistic promotional strategy for all above brand biosimilar activities as well as managing all brand marketing activities for our two established brands. The biosimilar landscape is complex and rapidly evolving, so the ability to learn quickly and challenge traditional branded pharmaceutical organizational thinking, including effective customer engagement strategies is key. We are also finding that in this dynamic landscape, the importance of establishing a strong leadership position is critical to the success of forging strong connections with our stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge working across multiple brands and disease states would be a beneficial asset to this team. The person selected for this position will need to have demonstrated leadership skills, a strong entrepreneurial approach to work style, ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, work in cross-functional teams, clearly articulate objectives to internal stakeholders and partners, plan and execute work according to timelines for market events and respond to customer insights in a dynamic fashion. The selected candidate is expected to operate with integrity and transparency, as well as respect and adherence for the laws and regulations that govern our industry and our Company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Continue refining our position as a leader in the biosimilar space across all avenues of communication, including conferences, advocacy partnerships as well as within both personal and non-personal channels.

  • Oversea our conference strategy for both the portfolio as well as our established brands and launch brands in 2024 and beyond.

  • Monitor and evaluate portfolio campaign performance as well as established brand performance with a keen eye toward storytelling and identifying actional opportunities for testing and scaling.

  • Ability to define messaging across the entire portfolio that helps elevate our customer experience across the entire portfolio.

  • Partner with our external agency stakeholders to ensure the strategy is understood and executed correctly.

  • Collaborate with other marketing leads to discover ways of implementing a more differentiated portfolio platform for the biosimilars unit at Organon.

  • Partner with our internal comms and policy teams to ensure our message is resonating with key stakeholders and is consistently articulated across all channels.

  • Prioritize conferences by portfolio vs. brand and identify key areas of focus in the conference/advocacy setting to ensure maximum visibility with key stakeholders.

  • Manage conference performance and execution as well as budget for both conferences and all portfolio/above brand initiatives.

  • Serve as voice of the portfolio and biosimilar established brands leadership position for the sales organization.

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to prioritize work, understand necessary trade-offs, and help facilitate internal resource development.

  • Collaborate and lead launch brand strategy for US biosimilar pipeline opportunities as they arise.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years -in strategy, operations, marketing, or marketing support roles.

  • Three to five-year background in health care provider (HCP) and or/patient-focused marketing and communications.

  • Experience partnering with advocacy groups and corporate communications teams.

  • Keen understanding of the compliance and regulatory guardrails for corporate and unbranded campaigns.

  • Experience managing conference booth activity and sponsorship programs.

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem solving, teamwork, analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and effective presentation skills.

  • Experience with collaborating across functional areas, influencing without authority and working with external partners.

  • Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative in identifying opportunities, discerning a clear path forward and acting upon them swiftly.

  • Requires approximately 20% travel, including some weekends.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and strategic skills to help solve customer pain points and key business problems.

  • Experience managing all aspects of campaign asset creation and execution across various partnerships, particularly regulatory and legal review.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Developed and deployed digital marketing campaigns and conference activity to a brand and/or Company.

  • Understanding of portfolio marketing across multiple disease states in a highly dynamic market.

  • Experience with developing a commercial strategy for biosimilars is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Knowledge of current policy issues for biosimilars and potential impact on commercialization and adoption of biosimilars.

  • Familiarity with both regulatory and compliance laws that pertain to corporate communications.

  • Non-pharma experience is a plus.

Final salary determinations take a number of factors into account including, but not limited to, primary work location, relevant skills, education level, and/or prior work experience. The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is stated below. Benefits offered in the U.S. include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation and holiday time, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

Annualized Salary Range (US)

$124,000.00 - $210,700.00
